Why Self Publish?

I really wanted to tell this story on my own terms. I wrote “Shadows From The Box” in two weeks, hired a freelance editor, and enlisted some close dark romance bookish friends to beta read before deciding to self publish. I know it's not perfect, and not for everyone, but I think sometimes it's the flaws that make something (or someone) beautiful in a unique way. I love having the creative freedom to put my story out there without someone telling me to change it to fit the masses. This is not a book for everyone, it is certainly not a book for the masses. It is a personal story about recovering from abuse and all those crazy-ass curve balls life throws at us sometimes.
